Pain Is Not Always the Same

Pain would be easy to handle if it was the same every day. If we could measure pain on a scale from day to day like we can track our weight or how much coffee or tea to use when making our morning brew, we might be surprised at how much it changes. Some mornings we can spring out of bed, ready to face the day and take on anything that comes our way, but other days we struggle to roll out of bed and dread tackling even the smallest tasks because we know it will be an extra challenge based on our inflammation and pain level.

Pain is subjective, meaning that it varies based on our perception of it. Sometimes our bodies may be experiencing the same physical pain, but because of distractions or excitement about an anticipated event or activity, we don't notice it as much. Unfortunately, the opposite is sometimes true, as well; due to external stresses or a negative mindset, we can experience pain in an exaggerated manner. And then there are the fluctuations in actual physical and nerve pain that change from day to day. A shoulder with an old injury may be fine one day and act up the next, or a knee that has developed arthritis may hurt more due to weather changes or inactivity, not to mention the neck and back pain that can come from sleeping in the wrong position or sitting in a cramped vehicle for too long.

Today, Emu Therapy steps into a similar role, developing more options for customers to try that may address their unique pain differently than existing products do. We have introduced the Red Hot Pepper Pain Relief Cream, with capsaicin as an active ingredient alongside menthol, and now we introduce Cool Menthol Therapy, with a higher level of menthol than Super Blue Stuff OTC.

Cool Menthol Therapy is a registered over-the-counter (OTC) pain relief cream, meaning that it is approved by the US FDA for the relief of aches and pains in the joints and muscles associated with a variety of causes, among which are:

• Sprained joints

• Arthritis

• Injuries such as bruises

Being OTC also means that the product is so safe and effective, it does not require a medical professional's prescription or oversight. Used as directed, there is no reason to worry about severe side effects or interactions. Over-the-counter medicines can still carry warnings of known risks, and many other medicines are not intended for continual use, especially pain relief pills which carry warnings about long-term liver exposure, increased risk of stroke, or ulcers and other internal complications which stand as evidence that what many people are using to help with pain can actually be bad for you in the long run. In stark contrast to those over-the-counter medicines, Cool Menthol Therapy and all of our other pain relief creams have no negative side effects. They are safe for long-term use, day in and day out over weeks, months, or years if you need them for chronic pain conditions such as any of the 100+ forms of arthritis, back or neck injuries, or other causes.
